THE CRAZY PERFUME LADY

I have around 20 perfumes…Is this a problem doctor? Is anyone else like me?

I have been fascinated with perfumes since the very first day my mum gave me a Miss Dior bottle. It was so precious to me, I couldn’t stop staring at how beautiful and fragile it looked. I was so happy to be trusted with it.

Today, I have a whole collection that I proudly display in my room. There is something so poetic about perfumes (*cringe) in the fact that each one of them has a story of its own, or that a certain scent matches a certain type of skin, or that it brings back a certain memory. I love seeing the different designs of bottles together, the shapes and colours they have, it’s all art to me.

But I bet you’re asking yourself…Does she even wear them? Well, some I keep as decoration and use them as models for my photography, and others, I do wear indeed. It is kind of like a small game I play with myself. What type of day are we having? Is it sunny? I’ll wear Daisy Dream. Do I want to fall in love today? I’ll wear Love Story (*cringe again).

My friends call me « The crazy perfume lady » but deep inside they love the fact that I have a ‘Sephora’ in my own bedroom. Perfumes give me joy what can I say? Oh, maybe not when I have to do the dusting!
